How long will the results last?
Everyone’s different, but typically lip filler results last around 6 months.

• Plan your treatment for a time when you don’t have a busy schedule, as you may experience some redness, bruising, swelling or tenderness right after your appointment.
• Ensure that you have no makeup on when you come for your treatment, as we need the area being treated to be clean.
• Avoid invasive dental work a month pre or post filler treatment.
• You’re not a candidate for lip fillers if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you are feeling unwell in any way.
• Please let us know if you are planning on traveling in the next four weeks.
• It’s important to let us know about any medications or dietary supplements that you are taking as some medicines can adversely affect the way that fillers work, and can increase your risk of bruising.
• Don’t take any painkiller medication that contains ibuprofen, as this can contribute to bruising and is best avoided for up to a week before your treatment.

How long does it last and does it hurt?
A huge advantage of lip fillers is that the results are long-lasting but not permanent. Which makes it easier to alter your treatment over time to give you your desired results. On average, each treatment lasts six months.

All of our lip fillers contain a local anesthetic, however; during the procedure itself, some patients may experience some mild discomfort. If you experience this during your treatment, please rest assured that it is only temporary and your Doctor will advise you on how to minimize this discomfort.

• Don’t wear make - up for 24 hours after your treatment.
• Do not have any dental work for four weeks after your lip filler treatment.
• Avoid alcohol and exercise for 24 hours after your treatment.
• Avoid the sun after your treatment - this includes sunbathing, tanning beds, and extremes of hot or cold temperatures for 2 weeks post treatment.
• Swelling may worsen in the first 24 hours after your treatment, use a cold pack to help you through this.
• Bruising will also be worse in the first few days after your treatment, this may take up to 10 days to calm down.
